Iron slag and ground slag (GGPFS) are obtained by cooling molten iron slag from a blast furnace with water or steam, to produce a glass product which is then dried and ground into a fine powder. It is used as a cementitious material in concrete that is resistant to severe groundwater and difficult environmental conditions.
